1. National Monument

The National Monument is one of the iconic and popular monuments in Indonesia. 

This National Monument has a height of 132 meters and citizens can visit the museum inside. The museum has a large collection of historical items during the struggle against Dutch cruelty.

2. Bandung Lautan Api Monument

This iconic monument in Indonesia is a valid proof that Bandung is one of the areas associated with the Indonesian struggle for independence.

The monument with a height of 45 meters was built to commemorate the Bandung Ocean of Fire incident on March 23, 1946.

3. Yogya Kembali Monument

Yogyakarta also has several monuments that were specifically built to commemorate the services of the heroes, one of which is the Yogya Kembali Monument.

This monument was built to commemorate the withdrawal of the Dutch troops from Yogyakarta on June 29, 1949. The museum contains replicas of military clothing, firearms, various dioramas, and General Sudirman's stretcher.

The proclamation monument was built with the purpose of commemorating the moment of the proclamation of independence on August 17, 1945. In the monument, there are two statues of Soekarno-Hatta. In the center of the statue is the text of the proclamation made of black marble stone slabs.

5. Palagan Ambarawa Monument

Palagan Ambarawa Monument is a historical symbol of the Battle Palagan Ambarawa on December, 12-15, 1945.

There are reliefs that describe a brief history of the battles that took place in Ambarawa. There are also a number of statues of heroes who fought at that time, such as the statues of General Sudirman, General Gatot Subroto.

6. Hero Monument

This Heroes Monument was built with the purpose of commemorating the events of the November 10, 1945 battle between the Arek-arek Suroboyo and the Allied troops.

At the bottom of the monument is decorated with carvings of Trisula with images of Chakra, Stamba, and Padma as a symbol of the fire of struggle.

7. Bajra Sandhi Monument
