VIVA – Water on earth is almost fulfill the land area. There are many oceans that spread out and surround the major continents and mainland island of the world.

Earth has five oceans, namely Antarctica, Arctic, Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Ocean. From sea that exist on earth, it turns out that there are several places where the waters of these regions meet.

Here are the places where the two seas meet but the water doesn't mix.

1. Alaskan Bay

Alaskan Bay is at the end of the Pacific Ocean that stretches from the Alaska Peninsula to the Alexander Archipelago. The Alaskan Bay is the meeting place of water from the Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea.

However, the water from the two seas never merged. It’s because of the concentration of dissolved salts in the air and the different densities in the two oceans. 

2. Strait of Gibraltar

The Strait of Gibraltar is located between the southern coast of Spain and the northern coast of Morocco. This strait is the meeting place of water from the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

Uniquely, the water from the two different seas does not merge. Water from the Atlantic flows over the heavier and saltier Mediterranean currents.

3. Grenen Beach

Grenen Beach is located north of the city of Skagen, the northernmost tip of Denmark. This place brings together the Baltic Sea and the North Sea.

The meeting of the two oceans produces strong currents and turbulence, it will be very dangerous for swimmers and navigation.

4. Tanjung Reingga

Tanjung Reingga separates the Tasman Sea, Australia on the west side and the Pacific Ocean on the east side. The meeting of these two seas creates unstable colors and blends offshore.

5. Glass Window Bridge

The Glass Window Bridge is on Queen's Highway, Gregory Town, Central Eleuthera, Bahamas. This place has two different oceans. 

When people look into the Atlantic side, they will see a deep blue ocean. But when looking at the Caribbean Sea, visitors will see a calm green color.
