Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano has more than 28 springs. One of the springs is considered a mystical lake that never dries up, the name is Telaga Wungu. It is said that only clean-hearted people can see the existence of Wungu Lake.
2. Ancient Volcano of Tanjung Karang Bata
Tanjung Karang Bata Ancient Volcano is located in Karangduwur Village, Kebumen Regency. It is known that this volcano was formed about 50 million years ago.
At Tanjung Karang Bata, there were traces of rocks left by ancient volcanoes. The traces of the volcano were formed from the freezing of magma that occurred millions of years ago and were discovered by a team from the Geological Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto.
The rocks in Tanjung Karang Bata are a unique geological phenomenon, with a hexagonal shape and a columnar texture. These ancient volcanic rocks limit the Menganti Hills from the Southern Ocean waves. However, the traces of these ancient fire rocks have experienced abrasion so that their existence is in danger of being lost.
3. Tengger Fire Caldera
