Jakarta Government Cancels PPKM Level 2 and Returns to Level 1

VIVA – Previously, the DKI Jakarta Government announced the implementation of Level 2 Restrictions on Community (PPKM) on July 5 to August 1. But on July 6, the government cancels it and returns to level 1 again.
Based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 33 of 2022 concerning the implementation of PPKM Level 2 and 1 in Java and Bali. The government revoked the Inmendagri which was signed by the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian on July 4, 2022. So, PPKM status for the DKI Jakarta area is back at level 1.
Not only DKI Jakarta, but also PPKM levels in Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, Bogor City, Bekasi City, Depok City, Bogor Regency, and Bekasi Regency (Jabodetabek) returned to Level 1.
Based on Inmendagri Number 35 of 2022 concerning the implementation PPKM Level 1 for Java and Bali, Malls/shopping centres can operate on full capacity, and non-essential companies can work on full capacity as well for vaccinated workers.
The Deputy Governor said the DKI Provincial Government would carry out operational restrictions and the capacity would be adjusted to the PPKM provisions. With the increase in COVID-19, he asked the public to be more careful and do third vaccine and booster.
"Implement the health protocol. Discipline, obey and let's accelerate the implementation of the third vaccine or booster," Ahmad Riza Patria said.
Therefore, the Deputy Governor, Riza invites people of the capital city of Jakarta who have not been vaccinated with a booster or third vaccine to be vaccinated. It aims to get immunity in the body.
"Invite any family in our environment to immediately flock to get the third vaccine so that all calm down," the Deputy Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria added.
Because, at this time, there are easing for some tourist attractions such as Ragunan Wildlife Park, Ancol Dreamland in North Jakarta, National Monument, and others.
"Indeed, there are some easing. However, we ask to obey and obey health protocols," he said.
