VIVA – Blackburn Rovers confirmed that they will host the Eid al-Adha prayer 1443 Hijri. This English league club opened the Ewood Park stadium for this prayer. Blackburn Rovers held Eid al-Adha prayers on July 9, 2022. They followed the observation of the new moon from the Government of Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the Eid al-Adha prayer will take place at 09:30 am local time. They also asked that Muslims could come on time, with the hope of accommodating 3.000 worshipers.
"Eid al-Adha prayers will be held at 09.30 am. We expect all to arrive by 9 am, as we estimate there will be more than 3.000 worshipers," as stated on the Blackburn Rovers website.
Meanwhile, the Eid al-Adha prayer at Ewood Park Stadium is open to all people of all ages. With provisions for men and women to pray in the field and those present are asked to bring their own prayer mats.
"Eid prayers at Ewood Park, open to all people and families of all ages, both men and women. The congregants are expected to bring their own prayer mats," continued the official website of Blackburn Rovers.
Just like in Indonesia, there are differences in the days of Eid prayer. Blackburn respects this difference. They chose to follow the Government of Saudi Arabia, namely the Eid prayer on July 9, 2022.
In Indonesia, the Ministry of Religion has set the beginning of Dzulhijjah 1443 H to fall on Friday, July 1, 2022. Thus, Eid Al-Adha 1443 H falls on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
This stipulation is different from Saudi Arabia which stipulates that 10 Dzulhijjah 1443 H falls on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah will hold Eid prayers on July 9, 2022.
As known, Blackburn Rovers became the first football club in England to host the Eid prayer 2022 yesterday. This time, they again hold the Eid al-Adha prayer and invite all Muslims.
