VIVA – Rock is a big genre and for some people, rock music could help them relax and fall asleep. Rock music was always a fine alternative style of music rather than those old folk and classical musical styles.
Rock music is always out of norms, the singer or the musical instrument players are always awarded the opportunity of their own creativity in the music and the songs.
Some of rock's exclusive iconic musicians have managed to reach greater heights of prestige by putting on a one-off show or concert in the midst of people's most prized historical site. These concerts give fans the opportunity to experience the historical events of music first hand.
Well, here are 5 world historic sites that have host rock concerts:
1. Giza, Egypt
The Grateful Dead became the first rock band to perform at the foot of the Sphinx of Giza when they traveled to Egypt with three concerts in 1978.
Dead bassist Phil Lesh still reflects on the experience with admiration decades later, recalling in his 2005 memoir, "History fuses myth and will descend into reality."
Since then, the Giza Pyramid Complex has played host to concerts, for example Sting in 2001 and Yanni in 2015.
2. Chichen Itza, Mexico
The ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza dates back to 600 AD and still stands as one of the most important remaining historical heritage sites in North America.
This sacred building site has played host to large-scale performances among the pyramids during the 2008 opera star Placido Domingo's footsteps, followed by another concert, namely pop icon Elton John in 2010.
3. Colosseum, Italy
Although this Colosseum in Italy has not yet reached the scale of large concerts being held at other historical sites, the head caretaker of the Colosseum has just announced his desire to reactivate Italy's most visited historic site with rock concerts.

4. Eiffel Tower, France
The space for performances is at the foot of the tower and in the reception area in the tower itself, the Eiffel Tower has become a historic concert venue.
