VIVA – For changing life to a better way can be done with small habits in daily life. There's no need to rush to change it, but it can be done slowly. Here are some small habits that if done can change your life better.
1. Greet the Neighbors
In fact, bonding or intimacy can start from just a smile, a small greeting, and nodding your head to neighbors. If at any time you need something or need help, or vice versa, then you can help each other. When you help someone, you will automatically enter and be known by the association or other people there.
2. Maintain Relationship with People Who Care About Us
Maintaining communication and relationships is never wrong, because usually they are the people who care the most. Will not spend a long time and energy just to ask about news or health.
3. Turn off Notifications at Work
There are certain times of the day that require us to be fully concentrated and have high productivity at work. In maximizing the available time, turn off notifications on your smartphone or gadget.
Obviously, we don't have much time, only 24 hours. So, it's best to maximize your time at work. Ideally two to four hours is the right time to be maximized so that the output that is done will be maximized.
4. Meditation
Mediation is meant to block out external voices and focus only on internal voices. Mediation is training the mind to direct thoughts and focus on oneself.
When doing mediation, life can become more focused. We can respond better to life situations.
5. Ask a Smart Question
Instead of forcing an opinion on a topic, it's a good idea to ask smarter, more "open" questions that can help you communicate more smoothly.
Avoid asking questions that will answer "yes" and "no." Asking questions also allows us to build a deeper and more interesting relationship with the other person or people around who are involved in the conversation.
Asking and getting answers can also open our perspectives about answers that we might not have thought of before.
6. Try to Stand Every Hour
Sitting for long periods of time is not good for the body and brain. Standing every hour and doing a small stretch can help the body to be less tense, especially after a long time working and sitting in front of a laptop. If possible, a little walk can also help. According to research, it can increase productivity.
7. Drink Water with Right Portion
Researchers suggest drinking four to six glasses every day. An average glass can contain 8 ounces of water, meaning that it takes 32 to 48 ounces of water every day. Moreover, 70% of the human body consists of water. By drinking water with the right portion, you can make changes for the better for life.
8. Eat Fruits and Vegetables Every Meal Hours
Make it a rule that fruits and vegetables should be consumed at every meal such as eating grapes or apples, or cutting a few slices of cucumber. This habit will help us to get the nutrients your bodies need every day.
By adding fiber in food, it can help nourish the body, lose weight, keep full for a long time, and maintain energy in the body.
9. Five Minutes Rest
According to experts, taking several short breaks, about five minutes, can increase productivity. Take a short break is good for your body and mind. Take a short walk to the courtyard or corridor, going to the bathroom or sitting in a quiet place can be an option to take a short break.
10. Create a To-Do-List
To be productive the next day, take time at the end of the day to review what happened at work, check your schedule for tomorrow, and make a to-do list for what hasn't been done today. It can make you focus more on what successes you have achieved and write them down.
