VIVA – The Pasupati Bridge or known as the Pasupati Flyover is one of the famous bridges in the city of Bandung, West Java. This bridge is the first bridge in Indonesia that uses the Look Up Device technology (LUD) from France, making it the first anti-earthquake bridge in Indonesia.

This bridge connects the north and east through the Cikapundung Valley, Bandung City. The name Pasupati is an abbreviation of Pasteur and Surapati. This is because this road connects two main roads in the city of Bandung, namely Jalan Pasteur and Jalan Surapati.

It is 2.8-kilometer long and has a road width of 30-60 meters. The view of Bandung City will be seen very clearly on the road or when the vehicle crosses the flyover.

This bridge has been in operation since 2005 and it was built using the flyover concept. The flyover itself is a road that is built not on a floating plot to avoid areas that always face problems, such as traffic jams.

The construction costs came from a Kuwaiti state loan with a contract value of IDR 430 billion which had to be returned later.

Jalan Pasupati is a project built by the government for the public interest. The contractors for this project are PT Wijaya Karya (Persero), PT Waskita Karya (Persero) and CGC from Kuwait.
