Formula E Jakarta Breaks Record with the Most Audience

VIVA – The Formula E Jakarta event on June 4, 2022 managed to attract the attention of many people, it is known that there were 13.4 million viewers through private television media. In addition, live spectators at the Ancol Formula E Circuit Area, Jakarta, have spent 60,000 tickets. With this many audiences, Formula E Jakarta managed to break the record for the most audience in history.
Short-video highlights of Jakarta E-Prix have been viewed more than 1.2 million times on YouTube with race week content across all social media platforms totaling more than 22.6 million impressions, beating all season milestones to date.
The chairman of the Organizing Committee (OC) for the Jakarta E-Prix, Ahmad Sahroni felt grateful that the audience data released by FIA Formula E on Friday, June 17, 2022, set a new record for the greatest number of private television media.
According to him, this achievement certainly cannot be separated from the support of the community so that it is able to make a new history in Formula E.
“Alhamdulillah, many eyes in the world are looking at Jakarta and Indonesia. It proves to the world that Indonesia has recovered and is ready to rise. Ready to welcome the future life, on a par with other developed countries in the world. Ready to hold other international events," said Sahroni in a statement on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
Seeing of the high enthusiasm, the Deputy Chair of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) said that the Indonesian people also enjoyed Formula E. So, it could be used as input for evaluation to carry out future events.
"Obviously, we are grateful for this result, and these figures show that the Indonesian people also have a high interest in the electric car event. We will certainly use this result as a reference and benchmark for similar events in the future,” said Sahroni.
As known that the winner of the Jakarta Formula E race is Mitch Evans, second place by Jean-Eric Vergne, and third place by Edoardo Mortara.
