The Odd-Even Applies on 25 Streets in Jakarta Starts Today

VIVA – The Jakarta Provincial Government has implemented an odd-even system on 25 roads in the Capital City, starting on Monday, June 6, 2022. At first, there were only 13 streets, increasing to 12 streets, bringing the total number of odd-even rule to 25 roads.
"Starting on June 6, the odd-even implementation will take effect on 25 streets as regulated in Governor’s Regulation number 88 of 2019," said Head of the Jakarta Transportation Service, Syafrin Liputo on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
The reason for the increase in odd-even streets is because some roads that are currently not implemented are odd-even, there is an increase in the volume of vehicles so that’s why several alternative roads in the city center are congested.
The odd-even implementation is based on Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2019 concerning odd-even.
Meanwhile, Directorate of Traffic Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, said that 13 roads that have implemented the odd-even policy will continue to take immediate action if there are motorists who violate it.
However, for roads that have just implemented odd-even implementation, a trial phase will be carried out for a week. New violators will be penalized with a warning during the trial.
According to tvOne reporters on Monday, June 6, 2022 morning in the Pramuka area street the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service and the police are currently preparing for the odd-even test in the area from 6 am to 10 am then at 4 pm to 9 pm.

Pramuka road is one of the odd-even expansion locations. The trial will be conducted from today, June 6, 2022 to June 12, 2022. During the trial, violators will not be subject to a ticket.
