Duty Calls, Ridwan Kamil Returns to Indonesia

VIVA – Ridwan Kamil and his family return to Indonesia for his duties as a Governor West Java. He decided on Thursday evening, June 2, 2022 and the search for Emmeril Kahn Mumtaz or known as Eril on the Aare River, the city of Bern, Switzerland still continue.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bern wrote a statement regarding the continuation of Eril's search.
"Monitoring of search efforts, coordination with the Indonesian Embassy in Bern, and communication with Swiss authorities will continue to be carried out by Brother Eril's uncle, namely Mr. Elpi Nazmuzaman and family representatives who arrived in Bern on Wednesday, May 1, 2022," the statement said on Friday, June 3, 2022.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Ridwan Kamil and his wife are still continuing along the banks of the Aare River to check potential places in the search for Eril to several travel routes, both land and water that can be safely reached. However, these efforts have not yielded the expected results.
On Thursday, the search continued with ground patrols, boat patrols and drone flights. On the eighth day of the search, divers could not be deployed due to the strong current of the Aare River, Switzerland.
The focus of the search that day was in the Marzili area to the Engehalde floodgate, as well as patrols in the area between Schwellenmaetelli and Wohlensee.
"Intensive search efforts will continue tomorrow (Friday, June 3, 2022) with additional support from sniffer dogs," said the Indonesian Embassy in Bern.
The Indonesian Embassy in Bern received news of the disappearance of Emmeril Khan Mumtaz or Eril on the Aare River, Bern City, Switzerland, on May 26, 2022 at 11.24 at local time.
According to the Swiss police explanation, Eril had an emergency situation while swimming in the Aare River. Since receiving the missing person’s report, the police have been working hard to find the 22-years-old.
