Indonesia Challenge Thailand in Women's Badminton Final SEA Games

VIVA – The Indonesian women's team stepped into the final of the women's team badminton at the 2021 SEA Games on Tuesday, May 17. Left behind 0-1, Indonesia got up and won 3-1. Indonesia won the match after defeating the host Vietnam in the semifinals which took place at the Bac Giang Gymnasium.
Indonesia's victory was confirmed by the pair Febby V Dwijayanti Gani / Ribka Sugiarto. They ended the match between Thi Hoai Do / Nhu Thao Pham in two straight games.
Febby/Ribka looked so dominant in the first game. They were able to lead up to 16-7. They managed to maintain their advantage to win 21-13.
Entering the second game, Febby/Ribka didn’t provide an opening for the host pair. They managed to lead away 6-1.
Indonesia's domination continues. Thi/Nhu tried to put up a fight, but the Indonesian pair had already gone too far.
Febby/Ribka finally confirmed the final ticket for Indonesia. They won 21-14.
Indonesia also ensured a ticket to the final with a 3-1 victory over Vietnam. This duo will meet Thailand who beat Singapore 3-0 in the other semifinal.
Previously, in the first match, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung lost to Nguyen Thuy Linh through the rubber game 14-21, 21-17, 21-16.
Then, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti managed to make the Indonesian Squad equalize after beating Pham Thi Khanh/Van Anh Than in 28 minutes with a score of 21-3, 21-9.
Previously, Putri Kusuma Wardani managed to bring the Indonesian team to a 2-1 lead. Appearing in the third match, Putri KW won after going through the rubber game. Putri had to play for one hour and six minutes against Vu Thi Trang before winning with a score of 21-19, 16-21, and 21-15 in 1 hour and 16 minutes.
In the final, the Indonesian women's team will face Thailand. They escaped after a 3-0 win over Singapore.
