Anies Baswedan Will Visit Europe to Discuss About 3 Things

VIVA – The Governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan will visit several countries in Europe for eight days, namely England, Germany and France. During his visit, Anies had three things agendas. The first is to follow up on cooperation in the transportation sector, including financing the MRT construction. Second, fulfill invitations from the community regarding mobility and transportation. Third, fulfill the invitation from sister city cooperation countries.
The Governor of Jakarta will leave the Capital City on Tuesday Night, May 10, 2022. As stated by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria.
"The plan is really wants to have an agenda to Europe to several countries," Riza said in a statement, Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
He said this after attending the APPSI National Working Meeting in Bali.
According to Riza, Anies Baswedan will fly to Europe with the aim of visiting the cities of London, Berlin and Paris. The plan is that Anies Baswedan will be in Europe for eight days.
Furthermore, Riza also added the MRT issue, Anies will go to the Blue Continent in order to fulfill invitations from the community in the area, related to mobility and transportation.
Then the third agenda is about the sister city and smart city cooperation plans.
"There was an invitation. So, indeed the departure of Mr. Anies and his staff was an invitation," said Riza.
For information, Jakarta already has sister city partnerships with a number of cities in the world, including Jeddah, Seoul, Islamabad, Rotterdam, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Casablanca, and Beijing. Then, Arkansas, Berlin, New South Wales, Paris, Bangkok, Hanoi, Istanbul, Maputo, Kyiv, Moscow, Al Qud's As Shareef or Jerusalem, Pyongyang to Budapest.
Based on transportation, previously, Anies Baswedan held a meeting with several figures or officials from abroad, one of which was the British Minister of International Trade Anne-Marie Trevelyan when visiting Indonesia on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
The two figures discussed the potential for collaboration between Jakarta and the UK in various climate-related programs, considering that Jakarta has a target to achieve zero emissions by 2050.
