These substances are able to detoxify by removing free radicals in the body. This will prevent cell damage. This juicy fruit is also packed with thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, choline and betaine.
Apart from these nutrients, this wonder fruit contains a lot of fibers that keep the digestion process smooth. It is known to maintain a healthy metabolic system and also aids in weight management.

However, watermelon already contains a lot of water and consuming more water can cause bloating and will even dissolve the digestive juices in the stomach.
According to Ayurvedic medicine, this can disrupt the regular digestive process, and even disrupt the balance in the body and it is bad for health.
Some people will feel uncomfortable if they drink water immediately after eating watermelon. Due to delaying the digestion process, problems such as acidity may arise.
Although there is no scientific evidence regarding this, it is better to avoid drinking water sometime after eating watermelon. People with stomach problems or sensitive stomach, should avoid drinking water for at least 40-45 minutes after consuming watermelon.
To be on the safe side, drink water at least 20-30 minutes after eating watermelon. If you feel thirsty, you can drink a sip or two of water but don't drink a glass of water right after eating watermelon.
