New Manpower Training Facilities Built

VIVAnews- Minister of Manpower and Transmigration, Erman Suparno, today gave a final visit to the Technopark Area, a technology-focused training place on Jalan Sutomo, Sragen Regency, Central Java.

The project costs the government Rp 27.65 billions. The fund was taken from the State Budget with Rp 9.5 billions while the remaining Rp 18.15 billions was acquired from Sragen’s Regional Budget.

The project, which is being built on an area of 6.98 hectare, consists of two main buildings including a 1468-meter square hangar and a 6.696-meter square Technopark building. According to the plan, the area will be officially officiated by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in June.

The project is included in the Labors’ Quality and Productivity Improvement Program (PKPTK) held by the Manpower and Transmigration Agency of Sragen in 2009 together with its partner, CV Brytama Mulya.

The building of the Technopark aims to establish a place to provide competent manpower by implementing the one-stop service labor market (OSSLM) function.

Due to the growing aspect of manpower in Indonesia, the area is expected to enable Indonesia forms its own well-trained, ready-to-use labors instead of employing foreign labors. For the people of Sragen, the training in Technopark will be provided for free.

In the Technopark area, there will also be a 3-in-1 centre, which will provide one-stop service for future employers who wish to be trained, certified, and placed according to their skills.

Unlike the Job Training Center (BLK) which is being used to develop 27 low technical majors, the Technopark will focus on 12 high technical majors. Those majors include Automotive, Metal Mechanical Technology, Joint Mechanical Technology, Electronics, Construction, Business Management, and Textile Industry.
