Prabowo's Visit to India: A Strategic Push for Indonesian Investment

New Delhi, VIVA – President Prabowo Subianto undertakes an official visit to India, meeting with several local entrepreneurs interested in investing in Indonesia.
"I'm ready to meet with industrial leaders and entrepreneurs from India who are eager to invest in Indonesia," the head of state said on Thursday (January 23).
During this visit, representatives from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) accompanied President Prabowo to meet with Indian business leaders.
The President stated that he was invited as a guest of honor to attend the 76th Republic Day of India. Additionally, 352 personnel from the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) are set to participate in the celebration.
"I was invited as an honorary guest at the 76th Republic Day celebration of India, which falls on January 26, 2025. Attending on our behalf are 352 TNI personnel, including cadets from the military academy," the president remarked.
During the visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to hold meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The president is also set to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with India covering various fields, including health, culture, security, and technological development.
"The agreements to exchange MoUs cover several sectors, including health, culture, security, maritime safety, as well as technology and digital development," he concluded.
