Jakarta Welcomes Teguh Setyabudi as New Acting Governor

Jakarta, VIVA – Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian has officially inaugurated Teguh Setyabudi as the Acting Governor of Jakarta, replacing Heru Budi Hartono.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Sasana Bhakti Praja Hall, Ministry of Home Affairs Office, Central Jakarta, on Friday (October 18).
"Appointing Teguh Setyabudi as the Acting Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, effective from the time of inauguration for a maximum term of one year," read the appointment statement.
The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 100/P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal of the Acting Governor of Jakarta for the 2022-2024 term and the Appointment of the new Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.
Through this ceremony, the honorable dismissal of Heru Budi Hartono as the Acting Governor of Jakarta was officially confirmed.
Minister Karnavian also inaugurated Anwar Harun Damanik as the Acting Governor of Central Papua. Anwar replaces Ribka Haluk in this role.
"Appointing Anwar Harun Damanik as the Acting Governor of Central Papua, effective from the time of inauguration for a maximum term of one year," read the appointment statement.
During the event, the Minister of Home Affairs also led Teguh Setyabudi and Anwar Harun Damanik in taking the oath of office.
"I swear by Allah, I pledge to fulfill my duties as Acting Governor to the best of my ability and with utmost fairness, upholding the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia of 1945, and to execute all laws and regulations with integrity, serving the community, the nation, and the country," the minister stated.
Earlier, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) appointed Teguh Setyabudi as the new Acting Governor of Jakarta, replacing the previous Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono.
