VP Amin Awarded Brevet Honorary from Indonesian Navy

Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian Vice President (VP) Ma'ruf Amin, was awarded the Shark Kencana Honorary Brevet by the Indonesian Navy.

The Shark Kencana Honorary Brevet was presented directly by the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Ali, at the Vice President's Secretariat Auditorium on Tuesday (Oct 15).

"This award of the Shark Kencana Honorary Brevet is given to all state officials who have contributed in Indonesian Navy development," said Admiral Muhammad Ali in an official statement on Wednesday (Oct 16).

The Shark Kencana Brevet is a symbol of honor for the Submarine Unit of the Indonesian Navy.

It awarded to the Vice President symbolizes the trust and recognition given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Indonesian Navy.

According to the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin played a significant role in the development of the main weaponry system (Alutsista).

Also, the VP gave his attetion to Indonesian National Army welfare during his tenure, including supporting the advancement of the Indonesian Navy and the nation's maritime strength.

In addition to VP Ma'ruf Amin, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had previously received the Shark Kencana Honorary Brevet during preparations for the Indonesian National Armed Forces Day and Navy Day celebrations.

However, the VP was on an official overseas visit, said Muhammad Ali.

The ceremony for presenting the Shark Kencana Honorary Brevet to Vice President Ma'ruf Amin was also attended by the Head of the Vice President's Secretariat, Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy for Administration.

Also, Sapto Harjono W.S., Special Staff of the Vice President for Politics and Inter-Institutional Relations, Robikin Emhas, and Special Staff of the Vice President for General Affairs, Masykuri Abdillah.
