Jakarta, VIVA – The Minister of Law and Human Rights, Supratman Andi Agtas, stated that the presidential decree regarding the election of Anindya Bakrie as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), resulting from the Extraordinary National Deliberation, will soon be processed."

Yes, that's how the rules work (there will be a presidential decree), but all presidential decisions must go through administrative processes at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights," the minister said at the Kadin Tower, South Jakarta, on Sunday (Sept 15).

"If it can be done quickly, why does it take so long?" he added.

On that occasion, Minister Agtas also mentioned that the government would not interfere in Kadin’s internal affairs.

In principle, he emphasized that the government would adhere to the applicable rules and regulations.

Earlier, Anindya Novyan Bakrie was officially elected as Chairman of the Kadin for the 2024-2029 period through the Extraordinary National Deliberation (Munaslub). He was elected by acclamation in a forum attended by 21 provincial Kadin leaders and 25 Special Members (ALB) of Kadin.
