Most recently, two more bronze medals were contributed by the women's muaythai team in the 48-kilogram and 54-kilogram classes. The Bali contingent itself is strengthened by 549 athletes competing in 49 sports.

Acting Governor of Bali, Mahendra Jaya, expressed his optimism that Bali can surpass the target set by the Bali National Sports Committee (KONI).

"The target is 45 gold medals, and I'm optimistic. Many of our key sports have yet to compete, such as judo, stand-up martial art, rock climbing, and athletics. I believe the universe will support Bali's athletes in achieving success," Jaya stated.

Jaya also expressed his gratitude that before the opening ceremony, the athletes, especially from the cricket and cycling teams, had already managed to contribute three gold medals.

"This is extraordinary, we have already won three gold medals even before the opening ceremony," he said.

The goal is achieving 45 gold medals, surpassing the achievement at PON XX Papua, where Bali ranked fifth with 28 gold medals among 34 provinces in Indonesia.
