Government Allocates IDR 2,8 trillion for Renovation of 21 Stadiums

Jakarta, VIVA – Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati revealed that the government has allocated IDR 2.87 trillion for the renovation of 21 football stadiums across various regions in Indonesia.

"In 2024, the State Budget (APBN) with a budget of IDR 2.874 trillion has allocated funds for the renovation and construction of 21 stadiums in various locations," wrote the minister on her official Instagram account @smindrawati, on Saturday (August 3).

The renovation and construction of these stadiums, funded by the 2024 State Budget Take place in Aceh, North Sumatra, South Sumatra, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Banten, West Java, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java, and South Sulawesi.

In addition to stadium construction, the state budget also provides IDR 127 billion for the All Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) through the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

These funds will be used for equipment and operations of the PSSI Training Center in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), the implementation of training camps and tournaments for the Indonesian women's and men's national teams both domestically and internationally, events and competitions such as the organization of League 3, as well as technical and governance training for football coaches and referees.

Additionally, the state budget includes IDR 8.33 billion to support the U-23 National Team's training for Olympic qualifications.

Minister Indrawati emphasized that the state budget supports national football through the construction of various football stadiums, training centers, and budget support for preparation, training, matches, and various events.

She urged the public, supporters, and football lovers to maintain and utilize the 21 stadiums. These renovated stadiums can be used for matches, football training, other sports activities, concerts, and other positive events.
