Prabowo Subianto Aims to Boost Economic Relations with France

Jakarta – Defense Minister and President-elect Prabowo Subianto met with leaders of French companies under the auspices of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In the meeting, Prabowo Subianto was accompanied by the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anindya Novyan Bakrie. This meeting aims to strengthen economic ties between Indonesia and France.
During the meeting, Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of enhancing mutually beneficial economic cooperation between the two countries, considering the significant potential that Indonesia and France possess.
"We see many opportunities and potential for closer cooperation in various economic sectors. Through intensive dialogue and collaboration, we can create significant mutual benefits for both countries," Subianto remarked on Friday (July 26).
This statement aligns with earlier discussions between Prabowo Subianto and French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris, which also emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, including economics and defense.
With this meeting, it is hoped that economic relations between Indonesia and France will become closer and contribute positively to the economic development of both countries.
Both parties agreed to continue the dialogue and cooperation to achieve a more advanced and prosperous shared vision.
The meeting was attended by the Indonesian Ambassador to France, Mohamad Oemar; Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir; Budisatrio Djiwandono; Sugiono; Wisnu Wardana; and Rosan Roeslani.
