Anindya Bakrie Hopes Indonesian Athletes Perform Their Best at 2024 Olympics

Jakarta – Chairman of the Indonesian Aquatics Federation and Chef de Mission for Indonesia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Anindya Novyan Bakrie hopes Indonesian athletes can perform their best.
Bakrie, quoted President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), saying that although the Olympics are highly competitive, with strong fighting spirit, athletes and coaches can bring the best for Indonesia.
"Hopefully, Indonesia can win medals at the 2024 Olympics," Anindya Bakrie said in a statement on Wednesday (July 10).
Notably, 29 athletes will compete in 12 sports at the 2024 Paris Olympics, a special achievement.
"This is the largest number of athletes in the past two decades. Hopefully, there will be an improvement from the previous Olympics," he remarked.
Meanwhile, Raja Sapta Oktohari, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia), hopes for medals for the Indonesian contingent.
Oktohari is optimistic that Indonesia will win the most medals in its Olympic history, "But it all requires the support and prayers of the people,"
