Jordan – Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto revealed Indonesia's plans to help Palestinians in Gaza during the "Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza" summit in Jordan.

First, Indonesia is committed to increasing its contributions to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

"We will significantly increase our contributions to UNRWA and other humanitarian aid," Prabowo Subianto said on Tuesday (June 11).

Second, Indonesia will send more medical teams and field hospitals to Gaza and is also ready to deploy a hospital ship and participate in airlifting aid to Gaza if necessary.

"We're also ready to once again deploy a hospital ship and to deploy air assets for airdrop deliveries of aid to Gaza," the minister remarked.

The President-elect continued, the third plan is for Indonesia to evacuate 1,000 patients to be treated in Indonesian hospitals and return them to Gaza once they have recovered and the situation has normalized.

Fourth, Indonesia is ready to provide post-trauma care and education for Gaza's children, who will be returned once the situation stabilizes.

"We're also willing to evacuate children and orphans to provide post-trauma care and schooling. They will be returned to Gaza when the situation becomes normal," Minister Subianto stated.

While Indonesia is willing to support and contribute to all these efforts, Minister Subianto emphasized that the resolution to this conflict lies in a two-state solution.

"Only with a two-state solution, where Palestine and Israel can live side by side in peace and security, can this issue be resolved," he said.

Earlier, during the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, Prabowo Subianto also stated that Indonesia is ready to send peacekeeping forces to Gaza as part of its efforts to maintain peace and support the ceasefire.

Additionally, he mentioned that Indonesia is prepared to send medical personnel to cover the needs of field hospitals in Gaza, with the consent of all parties, and will evacuate, receive, and care for around 1,000 patients from Gaza.
