Chinese EV Maker Zeekr Debuts on Indonesia

Jakarta – The electrification era in Indonesia is increasingly showing its existence with various automotive manufacturers, which present electric vehicles in the country.
Today, there's a newcomer brand from China to enter the Indonesian electric car market, namely Zeekr.
This electric vehicle manufacturer provides leading premium and high-end electric cars under the Geely Holding Group.
Zeekr's arrival in Indonesia was marked by the signing of an official agreement with Premium Auto Prima (Premium Group), which is one of the dealers in the automotive industry.
JinHong Lin Darwin as Managing Director of Premium Auto Prima revealed that this collaboration aims to present classy but also environmentally friendly vehicles.
“We are very proud to partner with Zeekr. This collaboration emphasizes our commitment to bringing premium high-end and environmentally friendly vehicles to Indonesia,” Darwin said at Park Hyatt Hotel, Central Jakarta.
To start its steps into the Indonesian market, Zeekr will present two electric cars, namely Zeekr X and Zeekr 009 in the fourth quarter of this year.
Both are considered stylish vehicles and are very suitable for the Indonesian market segment.
“As a first step, Zeekr will present two electric car models Zeekr X and Zeekr 009. We see that these two vehicles are very suitable for the Indonesian market,” Darwin remarked.
On the same occasion, Alex Bao Zhuangfei as Head of SEA Region Zeekr said that Indonesia is an important market for his company. He admitted that the electric vehicle industry growing rapidly.
“Indonesia is an important market for us (Zeekr). We see the EV industry is very growing here and of course we want to be involved by introducing Zeekr's advanced products,” Zhuangfei said.
He added, “We are very optimistic about the partnership between Zeekr and Premium Auto Prima. This collaboration combines outstanding products with a professional sales and service network.”
Furthermore, Zeekr will also target the opening of dealerships in major Indonesian cities, such as Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya.
Starting with the flagship showroom in South Jakarta, and expanding to BSD City. The presence of pop-up stores in high-end malls will also further increase brand visibility.
