Saudi Arabia Minister Visit Indonesia to Ensure Hajj Pilgrims Service

Jakarta – Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah visited Indonesia on Monday (Apr 29)  in order to improve coordination of hajj services for Indonesian pilgrims.

The visit aims to improve efficiency through collaborative efforts between relevant authorities in both countries, according to a press release from the Saudi Embassy in Jakarta on Tuesday.

During his visit, Fawzan Al-Rabiah will hold discussions and consultations with a number of Indonesian officials and leaders of umrah companies.

The minister will also highlight facilities that facilitate smooth travel to Mecca and Medina and also explore initiatives to enhance the Hajj experience.

In addition, he will also inaugurate the "Nusuk" platform exhibition, demonstrating its important role in serving pilgrims and emphasizing the importance of visiting historical sites as well as the role of digital transformation in streamlining the Hajj and Umrah journey.

Fawzan Al-Rabiah's visit to Indonesia is accompanied by a delegation comprising officials from the Ministry, Hajj and Umrah System, Hajj Experience Program, as well as representatives from various private sector Umrah companies.

The collective effort aims to foster partnerships, simplify procedures for Indonesian pilgrims and enrich their pilgrimage experience, according to a statement.

The visit is also part of the Minister of Hajj's broader international communication tour, which aims to showcase the significant improvements in serving pilgrims and initiatives introduced by the Saudi government to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims from around the world in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030.
