Finance Minister, CEO MCC Discuss Transportation Sector Cooperation

Jakarta – Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati discussed cooperation in the transportation sector with Millenium Challenge Cooperation (MCC) Ceo Alice Albright.
"Not only because transportation sector is one of our the development priorities, this is also focus of Indonesia and MCC cooperation," The Minister said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
This cooperation to improve transportation and logistics access in the areas of South Sumatra, North Sulawesi, Riau, Riau Islands and Bali.
In addition transportation, MCC's cooperation with Indonesia to support the access of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) financing that owned by women entrepreneurs.
Through this collaboration, women business actors are also given business training, including digital and financial literacy training, as well as technical assistance to improve credit worthiness and investment readiness.
"At yesterday's meeting, Alice and I discussed a lot about this cooperation and hope that in the future we can build wider and stronger cooperation," Minister Indrawati remarked.
As known, Minister Indrawati as Governor of the World Bank and Alternate Governor of the IMF for Indonesia, led the delegation and played significant role in a series of activities at the 2024 International Monetary Fund-World Bank Group Spring Meetings (2024 IMF-WBG Spring Meetings) in Washington DC, United States, on April 15-20, 2024.
