Chongqing – Build Your Dreams (BYD) has officially came to the Indonesian market, offering several advantages to compete in the Indonesian market, one is battery technology. Here's to knowing the benefits by using battery technology from BYD. 

BYD claims that the battery has higher durability, based on Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP). However, BYD has formulated and created a new model, named Blade Battery.

Eagle Zhou, President Director of BYD Motor Indonesia stated that with the research conducted by BYD, the innovation of the blade battery has successfully attracted public attention and has ranked second in the world.

"BYD's Blade Battery has more advanced advantages compared to other batteries for implementation in electric vehicles," Zhou explained in Chongqing, China, on Tuesday.

Zhou said, this type of battery has a range of up to 600 kilometers and has an energy density of up to 50 percent.

"The safety level of the Blade Battery has also been tested with significant improvements," Zhou added.

Furthermore, the Blade Battery has also passed various tests, including the Nail Penetration Test. This aim to test the ability to eliminate the potential for battery ignition in case of accidents.

In terms of longevity, the Blade Battery cells have a lifespan of up to 1,200,000 kilometers or approximately 3,000 charge cycles, making it suitable for long-term use.

Moreover, experts at BYD are continuously improving the cubic volume of battery installations by providing 50 percent more space for storage and other features.

In addition, the Blade Battery has undergone extreme condition tests, such as being crushed, bent, heated in a furnace up to 300 degrees Celsius, and overfilled by up to 260 percent.

Furthermore, the Blade Battery not only functions as an energy source but also as part of the NEV (New Energy Vehicle) framework.

Currently, BYD has developed e-platform 3.0 with a structural arrangement of Blade Battery that will lead future vehicles by prioritizing safety.

The Blade Battery is designed to enhance the structural e-platform 3.0 in the event of a collision.

With special force transmission paths for electric vehicles, e-platform 3.0 can provide more efficient and safer efficiency and protection.

This platform is an innovation in the electric power center, capable of integrating vehicle control units, battery management systems, power distribution units, drive motors, motor controllers, transmissions, and onboard chargers.
