Jokowi Welcomes Letters of Credence from Nine New Ambassadors

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received Letters of Credence from nine new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta last week.
The ceremony began with the reverberation of the national anthem of each friendly country, followed by the handover of the letters at the Kredensial room.
The nine new Ambassadors are as follows:
Raman Ramanouski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus;
Armin Limo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Weddady Ould Sidi Haiba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania;
Masaki Yasushi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan;
Yasser Hassan Farah Elshemy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt;
Md. Tarikul Islam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh;
Hassane Rabehi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria;
Cristina González, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay; and
Miguel De Mascarenhas De Calheiros Velozo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Portugal.
The submission of the Letters of Credence officially marked the start of the term of office of the Ambassadors in Indonesia.
