Indonesian SOEs Gets IDR8.5 Trillion Worth of Project from Philippines

Manila – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that he was grateful because Indonesian state-owned enterprises received projects from the Philippine Department of Transportation worth IDR8.5 trillion.
This was conveyed after the Head of State met with Philippine Transportation Minister Jaime Bautista and Philippine Defense Minister Gilberto Eduardo Gerardo C. Teodoro Jr.
"We should be grateful that our state-owned enterprises, namely PT PP and PT Adhi Karya, managed to obtain two cooperation contracts through auctions worth IDR8.5 trillion," President Jokowi said on Thursday,
The Head of State appreciated and was satisfied with the products of the Indonesian defense industry in a meeting with the Philippine Defense Minister.
He hopes that cooperation can be developed in other countries.
"I believe that Indonesian SOEs, both in the fields of work and defense, if managed properly, managed with transparent management can compete in the international arena, in the global arena," the President remarked.
"I hope this can continue to be developed, not only in the Philippines but also in other countries," he added.
In addition, President Jokowi also held a bilateral meeting with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Malacanang Palace. Obviously, he felt grateful that the meeting went well.
