Central Java – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Wednesday inaugurated six bridges in Central Java that cost hundreds of billions of rupiah.
"I inaugurated six bridges, with a total construction cost of IDR 292 billion and a total investment of IDR 705 billion," President Jokowi said in a written statement on Wednesday.
The bridges inaugurated by Jokowi are Pemali Brebes B Bridge in Brebes Regency, Pedes B Bridge in Brebes Regency, Kalibanger A Bridge in Semarang City, Wonokerto IIA Bridge in Demak Regency, Juana IA Bridge in Pati Regency, and Pang I Bridge in Rembang Regency, Brebes.
"I inaugurated Pemali Brebes B Bridge in Brebes Regency, Pedes B Bridge in Brebes Regency, Kalibanger A Bridge in Semarang City, Wonokerto IIA Bridge in Demak Regency, Juana IA Bridge in Pati Regency, and Pang I Bridge in Rembang Regency," the Head of State explained.
Earlier, President Jokowi claimed to have inaugurated three bridges to replace the Callender-Hamilton Bridge on Tuesday.
This is because the Callender-Hamilton Bridge has a service life of more than 40 years.
"It's no longer feasible, and because of the heavy loads that cross these bridges every day, new replacements are needed, so that the load becomes better and the mobility of people, the mobility of goods, the mobility of logistics can run quickly on it," the President stated.
