Jakarta – KCIC (Kereta Cepat Indonesia China) provides 20 thousand Whoosh tickets every day, in order to welcome the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2023-2024 holiday season.

KCIC Corporate Communication Manager, Emir Monti said, for people who want to spend the year-end holidays using the Whoosh, can make ticket reservations starting H-7 in all official Whoosh Fast Train ticket sales channels.

Ticket reservations can be made through the Whoosh application, website tiket.kcic.co.id, counters, Ticket Vending Machines, and official channels of KCIC partners, namely the Access by KAI application, Livin by Mandiri, BRImo, and BNI Mobile Banking.

"The Whoosh Fast Train schedule is operated with a departure schedule at 06:15 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. local time, everyday," Monti informed.

During peak hours such as morning and evening, the Whoosh has a headway of 25-35 minutes. While outside peak hours, headways are in the range of 50-60 minutes.

"KCIC will evaluate the operation pattern periodically. If at any time there is an increase in the number of passengers, additional trips will be made," Monti explained.

To provide optimal service, KCIC applies a dynamic tariff scheme in determining the Whoosh tariff.

In determining the tariff offered, KCIC considers various aspects such as departure time, number of requests, or departure period.

In addition, KCIC has also made various other preparations to welcome the Nataru period, Monti continued.

Among these are periodic checks on railroad facilities and infrastructure such as EMUs, overhead electricity, rails, and other facilities.

"We hope that people can switch from private vehicles to use the Whoosh during this year-end holiday," Monti concluded.
