President Jokowi Inaugurates Central General Hospital in Kupang NTT

East Nusa Tenggara – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Dr. Ben Mboi Central General Hospital (RSUP) in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), which is the largest hospital in eastern Indonesia.
"I inaugurate the Dr. Ben Mboi Central General Hospital (RSUP), Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province," the Head of State said in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday.
The President explained that the hospital occupies an area of approximately 14 hectares with a building area of 35,000 square meters.
The hospital is also equipped with medical equipment as a means of supporting activities.
"This is a very large hospital. I see the medical equipment is also super modern, there is MRI, CT scan, so modern," the President remarked.
The President advised the doctors and those who work in the hospital to maintain the existing public facilities. The same thing also applies to medical equipment.
"I asked the Minister of Health, one equipment costs IDR 20 billion. We must take care of this. I hope this will become a health infrastructure in East Nusa Tenggara, and hopefully it can improve health services for the community," the President explained.
As reported from the Bureau of Press, Media and Information of the Presidential Secretariat, in addition to inaugurating the hospital, the President is also scheduled to inaugurate the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) and the Cathedral Church of the Archdiocese of Kupang during his third day visit in NTT.
During the visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.
