Jokowi Hands Over 2,5 Million Land E-Certificates to Residents

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) handed over 2.5 million electronic land certificates at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday. 

The Head of State also appreciated the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) move to digitize land services through electronic land certificates.

"We have launched 2,550,880 electronic land certificates for people throughout Indonesia. I congratulate the Ministry of ATR/BPN for digitizing land services through electronic land certificates," President Jokowi said in a written statement on Monday.

The President asked ATR/BPN Minister Hadi Tjahjanto and his staff to socialize this digital service to the public down to the villages by providing clear information. 

Currently, as many as 126 million plots of land throughout Indonesia must be certified. To date, 109 million land certificates have been given by the Government to the people, and this is a very fast leap, the President explained. 

Moreover, President Jokowi asked the people to make good use of the certificates. If you want to use the certificate, you must think carefully.

Meanwhile, Minister of ATR/BPN Hadi Tjahjanto expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi for launching electronic land certificates, as well as symbolically handing over electronic land certificates to 10 recipients, from a total of 2,550,800 land certificates submitted offline and online throughout Indonesia.

"The Ministry of ATR/BPN has implemented four digital defense services, namely electronic mortgage, electronic checking, electronic roya, and electronic land value zone," the Minister concluded.
