"I received reports that approximately 10 thousand Pamekasan residents no longer experience water shortages," Minister Subianto stated.

However, Minister Subianto added that there are still 15 points in hamlets that are currently being followed up. It is hoped that in about a month's time the other 15 points can flow soon.

"We will continue to work and provide benefits both in the West Java region, Banten and other areas outside Java, to improve our capabilities," the Minister continued.

Minister Subianto also hopes that the territorial command and the police can help in coastal areas.

"In that area, there are many water sources that come out on the beach, in the sea. Some are 100 meters, 30 meters, some are up to 1 kilo, they come out at sea," the Minister explained.

Therefore, the Minister asked the Military Rayon Commander (Danramil), Village Guidance Officer (Babinsa), and Community Police Officers (Bhabinkamtibmas) to go directly to the community.

The clean water project assisted by the Ministry of Defense is implemented by the Defense University Clean Water Task Force formed and assigned by the Minister of Defense to map areas that often experience drought and help build boreholes and their infrastructure.

"Starting last year, the Defense University was ordered by the Minister to focus on community service activities to provide assistance to areas that often experience drought," said the Rector of the Defense University at the ceremony.

The total inauguration of 12 water points includes 3 points in Pegantenan District, 2 points in Palengaan District, 4 points in Batumarmar District, 2 points in Waru District and 1 point in Pasean District.
