Beam Mobility Provides Vehicle to Support Sustainable Lifestyle

Jakarta – Indonesians are starting a sustainable lifestyle in their daily activities, one is by using of environmentally friendly vehicles, such as micro-mobility.
Beam Mobility, the largest micro-mobility company in Asia Pacific has been present in Indonesia since 2022 and continues its commitment by providing environmentally friendly transportation alternatives to help reduce air pollution and support sustainable lifestyles for the Indonesian people.
Senior Communication Associate of Beam Mobility Indonesia, Bagus Sukmana said that within one year of its launch, Beam Mobility Indonesia's electric bicycles have become a common facility at universities and even in residential areas.
"After a year in Indonesia, we have served several cities and regions including Bogor and Bali, educational areas such as the University of Indonesia, IPB and University of Brawijaya, to residential areas such as in Bintaro, Jababeka, Alam Sutera, Jakarta Garden City, Citra Raya, Sedayu City, BSD and several other residential areas," Sukmana explained in Jakarta, on Monday.
Furthermore, Beam vehicles have been equipped with an IoT technology called Geofence that can map all Beam vehicles in real-time so that users can use the vehicles optimally.
Devraj Sathivelu as Country Manager of Beam Mobility Indonesia stated that this geofence technology can know the status of each vehicle directly and immediately provide information to the operational team to solve problems if there is a problem with the vehicle.
"This feature is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for users. Geofence can also detect if an area has many pedestrians," Sathivelu said on the same occasion.
He added that Geofence technology can be used to detect when the fleet needs a battery change.
Then in 2019, Beam received Climate Neutral certification as a company that pays attention to eliminating carbon emissions.
"We are the only Micro Mobility Operator that has received Climate Neutral certification in Asia Pacific for three consecutive years," he emphasized.
As information, Beam aims to go further in reducing carbon emissions by implementing a Reduction Action Plan by switching to an electric fleet from certified renewable sources, as well as converting to certified energy sources for all its operations.
