Idemitsu Brought MotoGP to School

Lombok, 16 October 2023 – As part of its commitment to education in Indonesia, PT Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia launched the "Idemitsu Goes to School" program.
Recognizing the uneven quality and facilities of education in Indonesia, company took the initiative to help develop a more superior human resource. The company therefore launched programs aimed at increasing students' knowledge and experience.
Idemitsu Goes to School specifically targeted SMK N 3 Mataram, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This social activity was also part of Idemitsu efforts to welcome the MotoGP international motorcycle racing event held at the Mandalika Circuit on October 13-15, 2023.
As part of the program, they donated to improve the learning facilities of the students, especially those studying automotive. In addition, 50 students were invited to watch the MotoGP live in Mandalika and experience the atmosphere of world-class racing.
At the MotoGP Mandalika, company also opened a booth. Of course, there were many special offers at the booth during the racing event for consumers. They also offered many exciting programs through its "Idemitsu Advantages Experiences".
Visitors who completed the three games were able to enjoy the Lounge area with free drinks and coffee, a charging station, and an area to take shelter from the heat of the circuit under the theme "Beat The Heat". Other promotions were offered through online selling (Shopee) with an exclusive poster of Taka Nakagami signed by the original!
"The excitement of the MotoGP Mandalika was felt by all people in Indonesia. But sometimes the people around Mataram are forgotten. That's why Idemitsu held the Idemitsu Goes to School program in collaboration with SMK N 3, automotive department. In which Idemitsu shared about the function of oil to future mechanics in Mataram,” said Senior Manager of PT Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia, Asahi Katayama.
In addition to sharing, Idemitsu also invited teachers and students to experience watching MotoGP live at the Mandalika Circuit.
Similar to the concept of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, which searches for young racing talents, Idemitsu Goes to School also supports young mechanic seeds who will become young entrepreneurs.
“Hopefully this activity can make them enthusiastic about learning and open new horizons. This activity is the beginning of the plan with other schools in the future,” he added.
As additional information, Idemitsu also competed in the Grand Prix (GP) racing event with Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda) in the MotoGP class, Idemitsu Honda Team Asia in Moto2 with Somkiat Chantra and Ai Ogura. It also competed in Moto3 with the racers Mario Suryo Aji and Taiyo Furusato.
