Jakarta – The LCR Honda rider, Alex Rins will ride a batik-patterned motorcycle at the Mandalika MotoGP this year, exactly on October 13-15, 2023. This was revealed by Ekza Novtianio as Brand and Product Manager of Castrol Indonesia.
"Castrol will continue to support the LCR Honda team riders. In MotoGP 2023, we have prepared a special Livery for Alex Rins. One is on his racing motorcycle," Novtianio said at the Castrol Go Indonesia Press Conference, in Jakarta, on Wednesday.
On Alex Rins' bike, Castrol's signature colors still dominate, namely green, white, and red. Uniquely, there is a pattern of Lombok Batik on the motorcycle, which makes this vehicle closely related to Indonesian culture.
"I hope that the presence of Indonesian Batik elements on Alex Rins' latest Livery can further introduce Indonesian culture to the world, especially on this Lombok batik," Novtianio informed.
Moreover, Alex Rins expressed his happiness to be back racing in Mandalika, Indonesia because the layout track is so good and super fast.
"I'm happy to be back racing in Mandalika, Indonesia. One more year with all of you guys. It's fantastic. I'm excited to jump again on the bike on Mandalika Circuit," Rins expressed, on the same occasion.
"The layout is very nice, super fast with some technical corners. So, I'm happy to ride again here,"
The Spaniard admits that riding batik-printed bikes can be energizing, "I feel very excited to be part of this community. It always gives me extra strength as it feels like I'm inside them,"
