Hundreds of Stalls Gutted in Slogohimo Wonogiri Market Fire

Jakarta – A massive fire broke out in Slogohimo Market, Wonogiri, Central Java, Indonesia on Thursday evening at 4.50 pm, local time.
Local government official Agus Pramono said as many as seven units of fire trucks were sent to the location. The fire was extinguished at around 9 pm and the cooling efforts were carried out until 11 pm local time.
"The fire was extinguished at 9 pm, the cooling efforts until 11 pm local time," Pramono said on Friday.
The fire spread to the South, East, and North sides of the market. The total fire of the Slogohimo market reached 90 percent, and the total loss reached hundreds of millions. Meanwhile, there were no casualties in this incident.
"The total loss is around hundreds of millions (still being collected)," Pramono said.
Pramono revealed that hundreds of stalls were burned, "the number of market stalls burned reached 120,"
Luckily, some sellers managed to save their goods that were not burned.
This morning, some residents began visiting the Slogohimo market and revealed that the market had been flattened to the ground.
Agus Pramono has not yet to provide details regarding the cause of the fire, but it is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
