Jakarta – On the sidelines of the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF) 2023 Summit, the Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited ASEAN leaders to visit an exhibition showcasing strategic projects that are inclusive, innovative, and collaborative.
"This exhibition highlights the spirit of ASEAN to become the center of world economic growth. AIPF is turning Indo-Pacific regional competition into concrete and fruitful cooperation," President Widodo said at the Mulia Hotel Ballroom, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
The exhibition set up in the area outside the ballroom is divided into several zones, namely green infrastructure, sustainable financing, digital transformation, and creative economy.
In each zone, the state leaders get a brief explanation of a number of ideas and projects that have been completed or still in the process of development.
On a separate occasion, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi in her statement said that ASEAN's message is very consistent to make the Indo-Pacific region a peaceful, just and prosperous region.
Through the AIPF, Foreign Minister Retno said that the concept of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) will be translated into concrete and inclusive cooperation.
"We want the Indo-Pacific to be a peaceful, stable and prosperous region, and the approach is through concrete and inclusive cooperation. All the principles from the beginning of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific are translated into the AIPF," Minister explained.
