Indonesian Used Train Cars Burned in Purwakarta Station

West Java – Several used train cars were burned at the Logistics and Warehousing Center of Purwakarta Regency, West Java, owned by Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI).
"The fire occurred this afternoon at PKLG (Warehousing and Logistics Center) Purwakarta, exactly beside Purwakarta Station," Public Relations Manager of Daop II Bandung, Mahendro Trang Bawono stated in Purwakarta, on Thursday.
Bawono conveyed information from the field, the fire occurred around PKLG at 11.10 a.m local time and burned eight units of used trains.
According to Bawono, there were four units of fire trucks from the Purwakarta Regency Government that helped the extinguishing process at the PKLG Purwakarta location. At 12.15 p.m., the fire was successfully extinguished.
Bawono also mentioned: "The fire incident didn't interfere with train travel. Because the used train storage place is not an operational line,"
Even so, he apologized for the incident. Now Daop II Bandung is still investigating the cause of the fire.
