Jakarta – SiCepat Ekspres, an expedition company, has taken further steps to assist the community through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. In June, they officially formed a volunteer team known as SiCepat Tanggap (SIGAP).
SIGAP is a group of volunteers consisting of SiCepat Ekspres employees spread across several regions in Indonesia. The team is tasked with expanding the company's CSR program, both in terms of natural disaster mitigation and social community programs.
With the presence of SIGAP, company aims to provide broader and more targeted benefits to the communities in their operational areas.
SiCepat Ekspres' commitment to fast and responsive service to community needs is reflected in the establishment of the SIGAP team.
Wiwin Dewi Herawati, Chief Marketing & Corporate Communication Officer of SiCepat Ekspres, explained that SIGAP is a tangible manifestation of the company's commitment to consistently providing benefits to the community.
"The formation of the SIGAP volunteer team is in line with the company's mission to be a fast and responsive expedition company in meeting the needs of the community," she said in an official statement.
The SIGAP team has undergone two training sessions in preparation for their volunteer duties. The first training focused on the scope and objectives of SiCepat Ekspres' CSR program, while the second training was a collaboration with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Java, covering the basics of volunteering and disaster management knowledge.
The next step taken by SiCepat Ekspres is to provide direct assistance to the community in need. As an extension of SiCepat Ekspres' CSR team, SIGAP members in the Central Java region have provided financial assistance to a fire victim named Entang Saputra, whose house was destroyed by a gas stove explosion.
In their efforts to continually provide broader and sustainable benefits, SiCepat Ekspres hopes that the SIGAP team can continue to carry out CSR programs in other regions.
Through this commitment, they aim to make a meaningful contribution to disaster mitigation and the overall well-being of the community.
