Bandung – VKTR Mobility Technology (VKTR) invites the cooperation of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to open a House of Design at the Science and Techno Park Ganesha Building.

This cooperation was carried out with the signing of an MoU by VKTR President Director Gilarsi W. Setijono and Vice-Rector for Finance, Planning, and Development of Bandung Institute of Technology, Ir. Muhamad Abduh.

"Electric vehicle, especially electric buses and trucks are part of an environmentally friendly future. Modern, dynamic, and futuristic designs are needed, while still paying attention to safety and comfort aspects. We believe that together with ITB, we can make it happen," Setijono said on Friday.

He added that the design of electric buses and trucks requires careful preparation and research, as well as intense communication with various parties, including the body shop.

For example, electric buses have heavier batteries, so the design must be adjusted to the needs of the body shop in building the vehicle body.

Previously, the Company has expanded by developing an assembly plant facility for electric bus and truck units in Magelang, Central Java. This production facility is the result of cooperation between VKTR and Tri Sakti, through a joint venture company VKTR Sakti Industries.

"We hope that the House of Design can produce designs that are not only valuable but also adopt high-level aerodynamic technology so that the resulting vehicle body can save energy,"

Vice Rector for Finance, Planning and Development of Bandung Institute of Technology, Ir. Muhamad Abduh, MT welcomed the collaboration.

"We are grateful to be able to contribute and take part in this series of future vehicle projects. This is our contribution to Indonesia. As a leading educational institution in Indonesia, we are committed to supporting the government's efforts in achieving the target of increasing the use of electric vehicles in Indonesia," Abduh explained.

VKTR Mobility Technology is a company that focuses on developing an electric vehicle ecosystem for the heavy mobility segment in Indonesia.

Currently, VKTR is expanding factory development through a partnership with Tri Sakti to produce electric buses and electric trucks in Indonesia.
