President Hopes Health Bill Can Reform Indonesian Health Services

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) hopes that the Draft Law (RUU) on Health will be able to reform services in the health sector.
"We hope this Health Law after being evaluated and corrected in the House of Representative (DPR), will improve reforms in the field of our health services," the President said in a press statement after the Inauguration of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, in Sumedang Regency, West Java, on Tuesday.
With this Health Bill, the President also expected that the shortage of health workers can also be immediately fulfilled.
"I think this will improve reform in the field of our health services," the President said.
As information, the decision to pass the Health Bill will be discussed in a plenary meeting held at the House of Representative on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, regarding the Village Bill, which is also still under discussion in the House of Representative, President Widodo ensured that the Government will give its views in due time.
"Because the Village Law is still under discussion in the House of Representative, considerations and views from the government will be given at a later time," the President remarked.
