VIVA – The Indonesian Trade Attaché Office in Singapore participated in an international exhibition to showcase Indonesian-made products that are able to compete internationally. This activity was carried out to maximize the trend of world economic recovery by boosting export performance.

In collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Singapore, and Bank Indonesia (BI), they showcased Indonesian food and beverage export products in Singapore through the FHA Food & Beverage 2023 exhibition in Singapore.

The Indonesia Pavilion itself was officially opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore Suryo Pratomo, accompanied by Indonesian Trade Attaché in Singapore Billy Anugrah, as well as representatives from Indonesian companies participating in this exhibition.

As information, exports of Indonesian food and beverage products in 2022 have increased quite high by 17.6 percent or reaching US$ 44 billion.

On the same occasion, Anugrah explained that in 2022, Indonesia's food and beverage industry recorded a growth of 4.93 percent. It even became the largest contributor to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the non-oil and gas processing industry by 38.35 percent.

"So, food and beverage products do play a central role in supporting our national exports," He said in Singapore, in a press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Pratomo advised that Indonesia must create the most of the momentum of economic recovery and demand levels in the region.

The goal is to achieve higher export growth, especially for food and beverage products which are one of the backbones of Indonesia's industry, he concluded.
