362 Thousand Vehicles Leave Jakarta Through Soekarno-Hatta Airport

VIVA – Jasa Marga Metropolitan Toll Road Regional Division (JMT) informed the total number of vehicles left Jakarta through Soekarno-Hatta Airport during the 2023 Eid homecoming, as many as 362,565 vehicles or an increase of 1.89 percent compared to normal daily traffic volumes, according to data from April 15 to 18, 2023. 

Marketing and Communication Department Head Panji Satriya said on Wednesday: "The traffic was distributed through two Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cengkareng on Prof. Dr. Ir. Soedijatmo Toll Road and GT Benda Utama 2 on Kunciran-Cengkareng Toll Road," 

"The total number of vehicles leaving Jakarta through Soekarno-Hatta Airport was 362,565 vehicles or an increase of 1.89 percent compared to the normal daily traffic volume of 355,851 vehicles," He continued. 

Through the Cengkareng GT on Prof. Dr. Ir. Soedijatmo Toll Road, Satrriya said, there was a decrease in the volume of transaction traffic at the Cengkareng GT by 0.62 percent or as many as 268,462 vehicles. This is when compared to normal daily traffic of 270,137 vehicles.

Meanwhile, from GT Benda Utama 2 on the Kunciran-Cengkareng Toll Road, there was an increase in traffic volume at GT Benda Utama 2 by 9.79 percent or realized 94,103 vehicles from the normal daily traffic volume of 85,714 vehicles.

Then, Satriya stated, West Java traffic was monitored as many as 127,486 vehicles leaving Jakarta and heading south through GT Kalihurip Utama. It increased by 6.38 percent compared to normal daily traffic of 119,837 vehicles.

Meanwhile, the distribution of traffic heading to West Java through GT Cileunyi of the Padaleunyi Toll Road Section was 127,644 vehicles leaving for the Rancaekek, Garut, Sumedang, and surrounding areas through GT Cileunyi.

"The transaction traffic volume at GT Cileunyi increased by 20.62 percent compared to normal daily traffic of 105,827 vehicles," he explained.

Meanwhile, the volume of transaction traffic from the reverse direction or heading towards Bandung/Jakarta through GT Cileunyi was recorded at 121,898 vehicles, or 5.39 percent higher than the normal traffic of 115,665 vehicles.

In addition, through GT Pasteur on Padaleunyi Toll Road, the volume of transaction traffic at GT Pasteur (exit) towards Bandung City was recorded at 135,014, 0.82 percent lower than normal traffic.

For traffic on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, he said, a significant increase in vehicle volume was observed towards the South. Jasa Marga noted, as many as 35,852 vehicles crossed the Kalihurip Utama GT towards Bandung / Sumedang and its surroundings, which "Increased 37.56 percent compared to normal daily traffic of 26,062 vehicles." 

In addition, transaction traffic at GT Cileunyi towards Rancaekek, Sumedang, and surrounding areas has increased. As many as 37,048 vehicles passed through, an increase of 42.97 percent compared to the normal daily traffic of 25,913 vehicles, Satriya remarked.
