Fire in Plumpang: Jakarta Health Agency Reports 18 People Died

VIVA – The DKI Jakarta Health Agency recorded 18 people who died because of the Pertamina Plumpang fuel depot fire in North Jakarta.
“Meanwhile, based on data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, until 12 pm local time, the death toll amounted to 18 people," the Head of the DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), M Ridwan Ibrahim said in his press statement on Monday.
In addition, the Jakarta Health Agency also recorded 38 people who are receiving treatment in 9 hospitals. Ibrahim also said that his party has sent 50 personnel and set up 2 refugee tents located at Rasela RPTRA and North Jakarta Mayor.
"BPBD has also distributed assistance in the form of mineral water, sarongs, blankets, prayer equipment for women, tarpaulins, mattresses, family kits, kids ware, clothing, body bags, bar soap, hand sanitizer, masks, fans, tent mats, and megaphones," he explained.
Not only that, but Jakarta Social Agency also handed over assistance for fire survivors in Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village in the form of Food (rice, instant noodles, canned fish, and soy sauce); Clothing (t-shirts, negligees, men's & women's underwear, blankets and towels); Others in the form of mattresses, tarpaulins, mineral water, adult pacifiers, ready-to-eat food, and biscuits.
"Jakarta Provincial Government continues to synergize with various parties in handling this massive fire because protecting residents and ensuring residents' safety is the most important thing," Ibrahim said.
