Indonesian Women’s Tennis Player Becomes World Spotlight

VIVA – Indonesian women's tennis player, Priska Madelyn Nugroho becomes the world spotlight because she successfully won five ITF World Tennis Tour singles titles in the last six months.
The ITF social media account uploaded a photo of Priska showing her from five shooting angles. The post received a comment from the official Billie Jean King Cup, he said the 19-year-old tennis player "unstoppable."
The premier international team prestigious event in women’s tennis also reposted the photo on its social media accounts on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, with the caption “Placing Indonesian tennis on competition map…”
Priska Madelyn claimed her latest singles title last weekend at the ITF W25 in Solapur, India, after defeating Anastasia Kulikova from Finland in the final. The eighth seed defeated the third seed from Europe in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
The title gave Priska additional points, and her single ranking based on the WTA page, Wednesday, December 22, 2022, was recorded at 391 in the world which is the highest for Indonesian women's tennis players.
Then, another title came when she won the ITF W25 Traralgon 2, Australia, in November, beating England's Naiktha Bains 6-4, 6-4 in the final. Priska earned three other titles in a row in her three weeks in Tunisia.
She won the ITF W15 Monastir 28 which took place on July 18-24, 2022 after winning a tight final match against India's Vaidehi Chaudhari with a score of 6-3, 1-6, 6-4.
The following week July 25 to 31, 2022, Priska lifted the trophy again in ITF W15 Monastir 30 after an easy 6-2, 6-1 win over Anastasia Gureva from Russia.
She also claimed the ITF W15 Monastir 32 title on August 8 to 14, 2022 after downing Japan's Saki Imamura 6-0, 6-3.
Currently, Priska is still outstanding in India to participate in the ITF W15 Bengaluru tournament. She has defeated Ukraine's Valeriya Strakhova by 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, and next, she will play against Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty in the round of 16.
In the doubles sector, Priska who paired up with Russian Ekaterina Yashina defeated Indian duo Rutuja Bhosale/Vaishnavi Adkar by 6-3, 6-4 in the last 16 on Tuesday.
