VIVA English – Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia (CCEP Indonesia) and the Bekasi Regency Waste Bank Forum, announced the winners of the Unit Waste Bank Competition.

Three unit waste banks from three different districts: Babelan, Cibitung, and Tambun Selatan, succeeded in becoming champions.

Director of Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability of CCEP Indonesia, Lucia Karina in her statement expressed her gratitude and pride for the success of this competition. A total of 135 unit waste banks in Bekasi Regency, participated in this competition.

“This competition shows us all how extraordinary the enthusiasm of the waste bank partners in Bekasi Regency is. Hard work and good coordination between all parties are the keys to the success of this competition," said Karina.

She added, this competition is actually a form of support from CCEP Indonesia for efforts to increase the management capacity of waste banks in Bekasi Regency, especially in terms of management administration and waste data. These two things are believed to be important aspects in efforts to develop waste bank activities.

"We believe management, especially from a legal and administrative point of view, especially with regard to waste data, will make waste banks stronger and grow. Currently, data seems to be a very important element in the process of managing an organization," she said.

The same thing was conveyed by Suhapli, Chair of the Bekasi Regency Garbage Bank Forum (BSB Forum). According to him, in order to further develop the activities of a waste bank unit, it is necessary to have awareness of the importance of administrative aspects and data collection.
