PM Rishi Sunak Expresses Condolences on Earthquake in Cianjur

VIVA – British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak has expressed his sympathy and condolences for the earthquake in Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia on November 21, 2022. Through his personal Twitter account, the British PM admitted that he was shocked by the earthquake that hit one of the regions in Indonesia.
“I am shocked by the devastating scenes in Indonesia today,” Rishi Sunak wrote on his official Twitter account on November 22, 2022.
He also conveyed that he had just been to Indonesia and felt the warmth of the Indonesian people.
“Just last week, I experienced first-hand the warmth, generosity, and kindness of the Indonesian people. My thoughts are with them now.” He added.
Moreover, Rishi Sunak also expressed his support for President Joko Widodo and stated that the UK stands with Indonesia in difficult times.
“The UK stands with you @Jokowi and all Indonesians at this difficult time.” Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated.
Previously, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited Indonesia to attend the G20 Summit on November 15 to 16, 2022.
As information, a magnitude 5.6 earthquake hits the Cianjur region in Western Java, killing more than 160 people and injuring hundreds when it damaged buildings and triggered landslides in Indonesia.
